(For you photogs out there....shot this with my Canon 5D Mark II......Canon 70-200 f/2.8 II IS lens.....165mm (25 feet away) ......f/2.8.....1/320th of a second......200 ISO......threw a little Pioneer Woman Soft & Ethereal Action at 15%..... TRA Pro Retouch at 30%.....some TRA Yin & Yang....and a little magic on the sharpening.....2 minutes....)

Lori and Kelly, it was an honor and a real blessing to shoot your wedding.   It was so special to see that tear fall down your face at the alter Lori….you are such a gorgeous bride, beauty beyond words.  Kelly, you are a man’s man….was really cool to get to capture these special moments for two terrific people.

Had a wonderful afternoon again shooting the Reform Fitness Studio and the great owners Chris & Sarah!  They allowed me to turn their gorgeous studio into my own photography studio and we went to town!  They also dragged me up a mountain for a little post workout run?!?!…..I am still sore!

At Reform Fitness they  provide a personal and intimate fitness environment that encourages a healthy lifestyle and yields results through specialized group fitness, personal training and nutritional counseling.  Go check them out! (ps. my wife checks them out four times a week!)

Thanks for the models for the day….Chris & Sarah you all look great!  (Whitney, my beautiful wife, you look amazing as usual!)

It was especially awesome to see people celebrate Mike’s life….especially seeing Mike’s father get up there and speak such great things about his son….explaining where Mike came from…..mentioning the bumps along the road…..and finally speaking of triumph, truth and most importantly LOVE!

Starting to sink in how cool this night is gonna be! What a great looking couple! Beautiful women everywhere, including these two (mine is on the right!) (I also thought about what  Jerry Ghionas also said today, SLOW DOWN and look for the light!)

This was a fun small project I did several weeks ago….just a few shots of a car, but it was fun.   I had a bride ask me to shoot her fiance’s car, so she could give him some prints of it as a present…..not just any car, but his rare Porsche 993.  I was totally stoked when she asked me to do this, knowing how much fun this was gonna be…something out of the ordinary. (was a little nervous driving this beast though…lol)

So, after remembering how fun this was, and after listening to Jeremy today, I have committed to sketching out a new concept each week and then shooting it…..whether of a beautiful bride in an incredible setting……a grand landscape or children doing something awesome and really cool.

(This was shot in bright, glaring daylight at the beach…..simple 3 light setup…..using a 16-35mm f/2.8 and a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens)
